I created Home Reading Coach because too many parents are left confused, dismissed, or told to “wait” while their child continues to struggle.

Aside from credentials and recognition, I have lived parent experience as both an IEP mom and a 504 mom. When his skills were not progressing in the primary years, I intervened to launch my son’s reading. The following summer, I entered a multiyear dyslexia intervention program so I could help more struggling readers.
Now, as more and more parents come to me upset that they cannot get their child tested or qualified for services, I support parents of struggling and emerging readers through Home Reading Coach programs, @HomeReadingCoach socials, one-on-one coaching, and my YouTube channel “Teach My Child to Read.”
You don’t need to be an expert. This scripted and easy to implement home program, designed for maximal impact with only a slight learning curve, will get your child started building those foundational skills. After Level 1, continue with Home Reading Coach, hop over to school services, or continue with the next sequence of skills. This program is designed to give you options so you don’t have to depend on outside forces to get the ball rolling.
